What are you doing at Mercur in the UK office?
The UK office is a sales and services office building a Mercur presence in several companies. We have 10 direct UK customers and have grown to a team of 11. We are very similar to the rest of Mercur but our marketing focus is on Business Development Reps who cold-call prospects.
What different tasks and roles do you have?
At the England office, our departments are Business Development, Sales, Presales, and Consulting. At the moment we have three BDRs (business development representatives), three salespeople, one presale, and four consultants. Of course, this can change as we aim to grow our office.
Business Development searches for clients and projects and tries to find people in managerial or project management roles, often in FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) departments, and book demos with them. At the demo, Sales, and Presales present Mercur and Business Control and investigate the possibilities for us to implement with them.
Please tell us more about one of your exciting projects.
Our biggest project right now is a construction and project company with involvement in many different sectors in the UK where we help them with budgeting, project follow-up, forecasts for future projects, and staff planning.
What is the best part of working at Mercur in the UK office?
The best part of our office here is that we have a great group of talented and pleasant colleagues and that we are in an expansive and exciting phase with high growth in a large market, with many opportunities and interesting companies.
